Dan MoranHello, my name is Dan Moran. I am a criminal law defense attorney in Frisco, Texas. If you are visiting this website, chances are that you or someone you love have recently been charged with a criminal offense in Collin County, Texas, I know that you may have many questions, hopefully my website will help answer some of those questions. Hiring the right attorney for your criminal case can be a difficult decision. You want to be represented fully, but you also want to hire a person you can relate to and whom you believe will represent your interests the best. Before you chose an attorney, you should know a little bit about him or her. I grew up in Round Rock, Texas. After graduating from high school, I was fortunate to attend St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. During my time at St. Edward’s I learned a lot in college and a great deal more about life. Unlike most of my classmates, I worked full time to support myself through out college. The lessons I learned while struggling to balance a full coursed load and work schedule taught me valuable like lessons that I carry with me to this day. I consider myself fortunate to have worked my way to a Business Administration degree and am for ever grateful for those valuable life lessons. During my last year at St. Edwards, an event occurred in my family that ultimately changed my future career path. Until that time I had no interest or desire to become an attorney. However, during my last year in college, I watched as someone close to me went through a serious legal issue. I remember the feelings of hopelessness, confusion and doubt during that event. I remember the questions that were never answered, the phone calls that were never returned and, most importantly, the defense that never materialized. It was at this point that I decided to change my career goals. I decided I would become and attorney. And, if given the opportunity to enter the profession, I vowed to do better than what I had witness and to always honor the trust my clients put in me as their attorney. I was blessed to receive an academic scholarship to attend Texas Wesleyan School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas. While in law school I focused on advocacy by volunteering for the Texas Wesleyan Law Clinic which which provided legal assistance to indigent members of Tarrant County. During my last year at Texas Wesleyan I was granted an internship at the Collin County District Attorney’s Office where I was given the opportunity to work on numerous criminal law cases. After graduating for law school and passing the Texas Bar exam, I was offered a full time position as an assistant district attorney for Collin County. I immediately accepted the position and leaped head first into criminal trial work. As a prosecutor, I earned a reputation as a talented and fair lawyer while handling hundreds of criminal cases. Although grateful for the opportunity, I quickly learned that prosecuting people was not what I wanted to do. I have a mindset for defending people. It is who I am and my true calling. Therefore, I left the district attorneys office to open my own criminal defense office in Frisco, Texas. My office handles criminal cases in Collin, Dallas and Denton County. If you, or someone you love, has been charged with a criminal offense, I look forward with meeting with you to answer your questions, discuss your option and give you some much needed guidance. Thank you for your time visiting my website. I hope you fond the information informative and look forward to meeting with you soon. |
